Arbitration is more formal than mediation but generally faster and more private than court litigation. An arbitrator or panel hears both sides and issues a binding decision, following a process the parties have usually agreed to in advance through an arbitration clause in their contract. We represent clients in arbitration proceedings, from drafting the arbitration clauses that determine how a future dispute will be handled, to representing parties once a dispute actually reaches arbitration.
A binding decision in private forum, without years of litigation.
Drafting strong clauses to full representation in proceedings.
We'll be direct about something not every firm will tell you: prolonged litigation is rarely in a client's best interest, even when they're confident they'd eventually win. The time, cost, and emotional toll of years in court often exceed what's actually at stake in the dispute.
When mediation or arbitration is realistic for a matter, we say so, even if it means a shorter, less dramatic engagement than a courtroom battle would be. Our responsibility is to your outcome, not to the length of the process.
That said, mediation and arbitration only work well when they're approached with real preparation, not as an informal chat. We prepare with the same rigor as a court case: facts, strengths, weaknesses & clear sense of fair resolution.

If your contract already contains an arbitration clause, we can advise you on what that means practically before a dispute ever arises.
One question clients often ask is whether an arbitration outcome is actually final, and the answer is largely yes: an arbitral award is binding and enforceable in much the same way as a court decree, with only limited grounds for challenge.
This finality is part of what makes arbitration attractive for parties who want closure rather than a prolonged appellate process. We advise clients on this distinction upfront, so there are no surprises about what a mediated settlement or an arbitral award will actually mean once it's reached.
We tell you when arbitration is better than court — even if it means less work for us. That's honest lawyering.
⚖️From the first conversation, we'll give you an honest read on whether mediation or arbitration is likely to work for your specific situation, or whether litigation is genuinely the better path.

If it doesn't resolve things, we're equally prepared to move the matter into full litigation without losing any of the ground already covered.
Unlike court proceedings, mediation and arbitration proceedings are typically confidential.

For businesses concerned about reputational exposure, this route is often preferred over litigation.
